Miriam S. Jerris, Ph.D. is founder of the Wedding Connection. She has been officiating ceremonies since 1985. Ms. Jerris is a Humanist Minister, ordained by the Humanist Society, associated with the American Humanist Association. She is also ordained as a Rabbi by the International Institute for Secular Humanistic Judaism. Dr. Jerris holds a Ph.D. degree in Jewish Studies and Masters Degrees in Near Eastern Studies and Humanistic and Clinical Psychology. She offers pre-marital and marital counseling, if desired. Her background and education places her in a exceptional position to serve the needs of couples from different cultural and religious backgrounds. She is committed to celebrating, with dignity, couples whose needs often go unmet, whether they be humanistic, interfaith, interracial, intercultural, gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender. She has performed more than 1,500 wedding ceremonies since 1985. Ms. Jerris and Mr. Stawicki married in 1990.

Stephen J. Stawicki, co-founder of the Wedding Connection, is a Master Bridal Consultant, the highest designation offered by the Association of Bridal Consultants. He is the only Master Bridal Consultant in the State of Michigan and one of 36 world-wide. Mr. Stawicki was the Michigan Coordinator for the Association of Bridal Consultants. His services consist of event planning, complete wedding planning, same day wedding coordinating, site location, vendor referrals, destination weddings and discounted invitation sales. Steve's expertise includes planning elegant outdoor home weddings. He provides personal service to two career couples, and families who live out of state, but are planning Michigan weddings. His professional associations include membership in the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) and the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE). Mr. Stawicki brings more than 30 years of expertise in the advertising and sales fields to this venture.
