We Take You Personally
We know there are times in life where an empathic, compassionate, third party can be of aid. Miriam S. Jerris, Ph.D. helps to empower individuals and couples to creatively and sensitively cope with difficult issues in their lives and relationships. She encourages her clients to honestly appraise their behavior and accept responsibility for it. Through the client-counselor relationship, a bond of trust develops so that the clients can non-judgmentally accept their past and work toward creating a healthier future.
Miriam believes that counseling is helpful to all individuals and in all relationships to help improve communication and problem solving skills. She is happy to work with couples to help them develop skills to enhance their relationship as well as to confront more challenging issues.
Although available for pre-marital counseling, Jerris does not require it as part of performing a marriage ceremony. Included in her wedding ceremony services is one free counseling session between the date of the wedding and the couple's first wedding anniversary.
Ms. Jerris specializes in counseling couples and families dealing with issues that arise from intercultural, interfaith, and interracial relationships. She is willing to meet with both couples and parents independently or in multi-generational sessions.
Ms. Jerris holds a Masters Degree in Clinical and Humanistic Psychology from the Center for Humanistic Studies. |
