Dear Steve,

Our wedding day was the most memorable and perfect day of our lives and we owe much of that to you and the good people you recommended. It was your idea to begin that very long with day a private moment between Charlene and I. Of all your good ideas, this was the very best. When Charlene came down the stairs she was as beautiful and radiant as any fairy tale princess. That image of her will always be with me. It was so nice to just spend a few minutes together.

Charlene's first view of the grounds, was when she walked off the veranda, it was a vision of a fairy tale come true. With the umbrella tables all laid out on the grounds that view could have inspired Monet. That scene, that you organized, was breathtaking. Many of our guests have told us how spectacular the grounds were and that they too felt part of going back into time, the only absence was the contemporary dress of the guest. But, for us, that first vision is what will remain with us for a life time.

It was so incredibly helpful to have you in control of the day. We didn't worry about the limo being late because we knew you would worry about it-and it worked out fine (smile). From the service at the church, until you turned your command over to Mario at the reception, we did not worry about one thing. What was even better is that our faith was so well founded. Yes, we started late, but each wedding has its own inertial clock and after ours started it ticked flawlessly.

For our guests the event began with the invitation (which we purchased from you). By all accounts, this was one of the classiest invitations they had ever seen. Holly's flowers were spectacular, especially at the church. Carol's food was excellent, and by the admission of many guests, they had never seen such a spectacular wedding cake. The musicians you arranged were great, and Tracie's singing was fantastic. We received many nice compliments on all their performances and they certainly added to the elegance and beauty of the day. Taken all together, our guests said wonderful things, like this was a "Jackie 0" wedding, or that they had been to events all over the world and none of them compared to our wedding. The boyfriend, of one of my students, asked if, "this was a movie." If we remove the hyperbole what is left is that it was a beautifully spectacular day. You really helped to make this day what is was.

Like any great adventure, it is important to start a marriage out well. Ours started perfectly. We went to bed, that first night (naughty man) completely satisfied with the day.-no regrets- no "what ifs", no "if only I had." Guests are still talking about our wedding and so are we--in part because of Marty. As you may remember, we were opposed to having our wedding videoed. We saw no purpose in it, and were profound unmoved by the videos that we had seen. Nevertheless, we trusted you and hired Marty. Last night we finally received the preliminary copy of the video. It was simply magnificent. Marty wonderfully captured not only the events of the day, but the moods and the emotions as well. His video will be second only to your memories of those moments.

The snow has covered the grounds, the umbrella tables are gone, the flowers are dead, but the romance, the love, and relationship have only grown stronger. Thank you so much for starting our lives together out on the perfect foot.

Sincerely,
Charlene and Carl
